It is so easy for us to become comfortable with our own lives.  We forget that all we are, and all we have, is merely on loan from our heavenly Father.   God not only deserves a share of our life;  he deserves to included in every aspect of our life.

The fact is that despite God’s vision for a fruitful garden where we, his beloved children, enjoy intimacy with him, our weakened moral and religious walls leave us vulnerable to the raids of secular thinking, and doctrinal relativism.

Wherever this parable catches us, we stand in need of God’s mercy.   What more could God have done for us than to dwell within us, die to give us life, forgive and forget our every sin and error?  Our tepid faith, our lack of discipline and zeal — not to mention charity — are obvious enough.

God continues to provide for us.  Let us not spend our time dwelling on the fears of guilt;  but let us be grateful for the fertilizer that we have received from the hand of God, and begin anew.
